Tracking coffee and kitchen competitors
Updated November 2, 2026
Coffee and kitchen brands compete heavily on bundles, subscriptions, gift sets and free-shipping thresholds, and on seasonal offers around the holidays. Watch each competitor's homepage, sale page, new arrivals and shipping page every day, and follow the few products that compete directly with yours, so you see their price changes, kits and launches the morning after they appear.
Changes that matter in this category
- Bundles and kits ("brewer + grinder", "starter set") and their savings.
- Subscription pricing next to one-time prices.
- Gift sets, gift guides and holiday deals.
- Free-shipping thresholds and gift-with-purchase offers.
- New products, colours and limited editions.
- Refurbished or "last chance" sections, often where the deepest cuts appear.
Pages to watch
- Homepage, for the main campaign and gift guides.
- Sale or last-chance collection, for reduced prices.
- New arrivals, for launches and limited editions.
- Shipping and returns, for thresholds and return windows.
- Two or three product pages for the items you compete with most directly.
How EcomWatchdog does it
EcomWatchdog reads each competitor's homepage, sale, new-arrivals and shipping pages, plus the product pages you choose, once a day around midnight US Central. It compares each page with the night before, and a short update is written for each meaningful change: what it was before, what it is now, and the exact wording from their page. Every update is checked against the page before it is saved.
What it can't see
- It reads public pages only: not prices behind a login, in a cart or at checkout, or offers sent only by email or text message.
- Some stores block automated visits. Their pages can't be read, and the app says so instead of reporting "no change".
- Prices are what a visitor in the US sees, for the product option in the link you add.
- Checks run once a day, so a change made and undone between two checks can be missed.
- History starts when you add a store; it can't show what changed before that.
Example update
Copperline Coffee Co. (made-up store) · Promotion
Brewer + grinder bundle $279, was $329

Questions
- Will it see a competitor's subscription price?
- When a product page shows both, EcomWatchdog says which price it follows, for example "$39.99 (one-time)" when a lower subscription price is also offered.
- Does it cover the holiday season?
- Yes: gift guides, holiday bundles and seasonal sales on watched pages are reported like any other offer.
